The feasibility study (second printing) illustrates the ideal and financial preconditions, the approach in terms of content and concept, framework conditions, funds, locations and participants of the next Svizra27 National Exhibition in Northwestern Switzerland. It examines how and under which conditions Svizra27 can be realised as a national exhibition in Northwestern Switzerland.
Initially supported primarily by the business community, the project centred on three fundamental concepts: “People – Work – Solidarity”. These concepts were used to further develop the model which ultimately became this project. It took in a large number of ideas which were discussed in detail with key stakeholders and decision-makers. The study thus represents a selection of what is not only conceivable, desirable and imaginable at these locations, but also what can be actually implemented in terms of policy, financing and organisation. The feasibility study aims to clarify the basic feasibility of the ideas that have been developed. It does not set out to describe Svizra27’s implementation in detail and arrives at a positive conclusion. Further planning phases are needed to flesh out the concept further.
Digitalisation, demographic change, the green economy, new forms of globalisation, ecological reform and other drivers will lead to major transformations in the coming years, influencing the world of work and bringing about new change affecting culture, education, agriculture, mobility and other areas. The world of work is a complex system which is sensitive to disruptions. The COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdowns enacted during the crisis made that clear to everyone.
